How to add several timeseries to an analysis
An analysis is empty until you add measurements. The timeseries list below the graph is where you control which series are shown, how they look, and which axis they belong to.
How to add a timeseries
- Open the building you want to work on. See How to switch building and search for a building.
- Open the analysis under Analysis > Timeseries graph.
- Click Timeseries to open Timeseries Selection.
- Find the measurement and select it.
- Repeat for each series you want included.
If the analysis is empty, it says Import a timeseries to get started.
The timeseries list below the graph
Each series has a row showing:

How to control what's shown
The buttons on each row:
- Show and Hide — take a series temporarily out of the graph without deleting it
- Highlight — bring one series forward when the graph has many
- Settings — colour and appearance
- Statistics — the figures behind the series. See How to see statistics for a timeseries
- Delete — remove the series from the analysis
Note: Use Hide rather than Delete when you only want to tidy the picture temporarily. A deleted series has to be searched out again in Timeseries Selection; a hidden one is one click from coming back.
How to keep the graph readable with several units
The Group switch controls the axes: when grouping is enabled, timeseries with the same unit share the same axis. With degrees and kilowatt-hours in the same graph, this is the difference between two readable curves and two curves where one lies flat along the bottom.
The Axis column shows which axis each series actually landed on.
Frequently asked questions
How many series can I have?
Practically, readability is the limit. Four to six series is often as much as anyone can interpret in one graph — use Hide and Highlight rather than adding more.
Can I add series from other buildings?
The Building and Main building columns exist precisely because an analysis can hold series from several buildings. That makes direct comparison of two buildings possible.
Can I change the colours?
Yes, under Settings on the row. Worth doing if you're going to share the analysis or screenshot it for a report.
Why is the graph empty even though I've added a series?
There's no data in the period you've selected. Widen the period.
Tip!
Add the series you suspect is the cause alongside the one showing the symptom — flow temperature with room temperature, ventilation operation with CO2. An analysis with only the symptom tells you something is wrong; it's the second series that tells you why.
