How to switch building and search for a building
If you work across several buildings, you switch between them from Go to building in the sidebar. The search finds the building whether you remember its name, its address or just the postcode.
How to switch building
- Click Go to building at the top of the sidebar.
- Type into the search field: Search postcode, address, or name.
- Select the building from the list.
Properate takes you to the building and switches the sidebar to that building's modules.
Note: Properate tries to keep you on the same kind of page when you switch buildings. If you are in the energy view for one building and switch to another, you land in its energy view too — with the same period and resolution. That makes it quick to compare two buildings one after the other.
How to filter by country
If your portfolio spans several countries, you can narrow the list:
- Open Go to building.
- Pick a country in the Country selector: All, Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland.
How to find the building on the map
If you roughly know where the building is but not what it's called, the map is often faster:
- Click Show on map in the sidebar.
- Click the building on the map.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find the building I'm looking for?
The search only shows buildings you have access to. If a building is missing entirely, access is what needs changing — talk to whoever administers users at your organization.
Can I have several buildings open at once?
Yes. Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) when you select the building and it opens in a new tab. That's the simplest way to see two buildings side by side.
The search returns too many hits — can I search more narrowly?
Type more words. The search requires every word to match, so "Storgata Oslo" is narrower than "Storgata" alone.
Tip!
The address is often a safer search term than the name. Building names vary between systems and internally at your organization, while the address stays put.
