How to mark rooms as favorites
If you're following a couple of rooms closely — a meeting room with poor ventilation, a basement with damp problems — you can mark them as favorites and bring them to the top of the indoor climate table.
How to mark a room as a favorite
- Open the building you want to work on. See How to switch building and search for a building.
- Go to Indoor climate in the sidebar.
- Find the room, searching in Search for room if needed.
- Click in the Favorite column on the room's row.
Click again to remove the marking.
How to gather your favorites at the top
Click the Favorite column header to sort by it. The rooms you've marked then group together, regardless of which floor they're on.
That's exactly the point: favorites cut across the Building and Floor filters, so you can follow a handful of rooms from different parts of the building in one list.
Frequently asked questions
Do my colleagues see my favorites?
Favorites are a working tool for keeping track of rooms you're following. To share an observation with others, add a note on the room instead — see How to add a note.
Do favorites produce notifications?
No. A favorite only makes the room easier to find again. To be notified when a value crosses a limit, set up an alarm — see How to create an alarm.
Is there a limit to how many I can have?
Practically, the limit is that the list shouldn't get so long it defeats its own purpose.
What if the room is no longer of interest?
Remove the marking. A list of stale favorites is worse than no list.
Tip!
Use favorites for what you're following now — the rooms in an ongoing case — and alarms for what you're following always. Favorites require you to remember to look; an alarm speaks up on its own.
