How to export data from the organization dashboard
The export from the organization dashboard is the one way to get data out for many buildings at once. Every other export in Properate covers one building or one meter.
How to export data
- Go to Portfolio > the organization dashboard in the sidebar.
- Choose the organization and the buildings.
- Click Export.
- Fill in the form:
- Period — the span, with ready-made options like Last {n} months
- Sources — which data types: Overview, Energy, Water and Waste
- Full building metadata — see the section below
- Pivot tables — adds pivot tables to the spreadsheet
- Click Download.
If it fails, the message says Couldn't export data. Try again., Something went wrong while generating the export. or Failed to load data for the selected period.
The resolution is monthly
The form says it: All selected data is exported to Excel with monthly granularity.
Note: The export always gives monthly figures. If you need hourly or daily values, this isn't the tool — use the export in the energy view for one building at a time, see How to download energy data as an Excel file.
The sheets you get
The file holds one sheet per selected source:
Sheet | Contents |
|---|---|
Overview | key figures per building |
Energy - total | energy totals |
Energy - raw data | the underlying rows |
Water - total | water totals |
Water - raw data | the underlying rows |
Waste | waste data |
The columns include Building, Date and EOS.
Full building metadata
The option is described as: Include all available building metadata in every row, instead of just the building's address.
Switch it on and the file gets wider — every row carries the building's details. That's useful when you're going to pivot or filter on building type, floor area or ownership in the spreadsheet, and unnecessary when you only want the figures per address.
The correction method applies to the export too
The dashboard has a Correction method — Uncorrected, Temperature corrected, Location and temperature corrected or ET model corrected. Whichever you're on follows the figures out.
Note: Check which correction method is selected before exporting. Two exports of the same period with different methods give different figures, and the filename doesn't say which was used. See How to use temperature correction and the ET model.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export every building in the portfolio?
Yes, the building selection on the dashboard decides what's included.
Can I get the export automatically each month?
The download is manual. If the figures need to reach another system regularly, integration is the answer — raise it with support.
Why is data missing for some buildings in a month?
There are no meter readings for that building in that month. The raw-data sheets show which rows actually exist.
What is the EOS column?
The EOS value for the row — the energy monitoring system's reference.
Tip!
Export with Full building metadata and Pivot tables when producing an annual report. You then have everything you need in one file, and you avoid going back to Properate because the floor area or building type was missing from the spreadsheet.
