How to create an indoor climate report

An indoor climate report collects the building's indoor climate measurements into a document — for tenants asking about air quality, for safety inspections, or as documentation in a certification.

How to create an indoor climate report

• Open the building you want to work on. See How to switch building and search for a building.

• Go to Indoor climate in the sidebar — or to Reports and choose Indoor climate report.

• Click Create indoor climate report.

• Fill in the dialog:

• Building — required. Without it the message says Select a building.

• Period — required. Without it: Select a period.

• Parameters — which measurements the report should cover. Without them: Select parameters.

• Language — Norwegian or English

• Exclude from report — Select areas to exclude from the report

• Confirm.

You get the message Report ordered, and the report is generated. You'll find it under Reports — see How to download a report.

If it fails, the message says Couldn't generate report. Try again. If the building has no indoor climate data: This building has no indoor climate data. Contact support if needed.

Note: Language is chosen per report and is independent of the language you use in Properate yourself. If the report is going to a tenant or an international owner, set the language here — it doesn't follow your own menu choice.

The report name shows what you chose: {sub-building} Indoor climate report {parameters} {from} - {to} {lang}, so you can see the contents in the list without opening the document.

Check this first

The report is built from what has been registered, and errors in the room information carry straight through.

• Check the rooms have names. Rooms called "Sensor 14" in the table are called that in the report too. See How to edit room information.

• Check how old the measurements are. Hover over a value and read Last datapoint … A sensor that stopped reporting still shows its last value.

• Switch off Hide inactive and see which rooms lack coverage. A room without a sensor isn't documented, however good the indoor climate is in there.

Note: The report says what has been measured, not what hasn't. If half the building has no sensors, that doesn't show up as a gap in the document — so consider your coverage before passing the report on as a description of the whole building.

Frequently asked questions

Which parameters are included?

The ones actually measured in the building: temperature, CO2, VOC, radon, humidity and motion, depending on the sensors.

Can I produce a report for just one floor?

The filters in the table govern what you see on screen. If you need to document a limited part, check what the report actually contains before passing it on.

Do I get the report by email?

No, it sits under Reports until you download it.

How do I document development over time?

Produce reports at regular intervals and compare them, or use an analysis to show a measurement over time — see How to create a timeseries analysis.

Tip!

Produce the report while the building is in normal use, not during a holiday week. Indoor climate figures from an empty building look excellent and say nothing about what the air is like when the rooms are actually occupied.
