How to find your way around the technical schema
Technical schema is a system diagram of an installation: a drawing with pins showing live measurements where the components actually sit. It's the view operations staff use to see the state of an installation without reading tables.
How to open a schema
- Go to Technical schema in the sidebar.
- Choose the building or zone in Select a building/zone.
- Choose the system in Select system… — use Search for system… in a long list.
If there are no systems, it says No system found.
How to find your way around the view

The sidebar shows Buildings, Systems, Floors and Usable floor area.
How to read a pin
Each pin shows a live value from a timeseries. Right-click for the menu:
- Copy value, Copy name, Copy label, Copy ID
- Copy link — a link straight to this point
- Open in new tab
If a pin can't be displayed, it says This pin can't be displayed right now.
Note: Copy link is the quickest way to show a colleague exactly where in the installation something is happening. The link points at the pin, not just at the schema.
Rooms view
Alongside the system schemas there's a Rooms view — select it under Select rooms view…. There the pins are placed by room rather than by the system's structure, which is more useful when the question concerns a room rather than an installation.
Monitoring rules
A timeseries in the schema can have monitoring rules governing how its value is presented. If it has none, it says No monitoring rules for this timeseries. Use Add rule to add one, and Delete rule to remove it.

How do I edit the schema?

Can I change a setpoint from the schema?

Why does a pin show no value?
The timeseries hasn't delivered data. Check the meter, or set up a Missing data alarm on it — see How to choose the right alarm type.
What's the difference between a technical schema and a floor plan?
Technical schema shows how an installation is connected. Floor plan shows where things are located geographically in the building. See How to create a floor plan.
Tip!
Use Copy link on the pin when writing a task or commenting on an incident. Whoever picks up the case then lands straight on that point in the installation, instead of having to find the right system and pin themselves.
