How to switch language
Properate is available in Norwegian and English. The language is a user setting, so your choice follows you and affects nobody else.
How to switch language
- Click User settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Choose Switch to Norwegian — or Bytt til engelsk if you are currently on Norwegian.
The interface switches language immediately.
Note: The language choice covers Properate's own interface: menus, buttons and explanations. Names registered by your own organization — building names, system descriptions, room names, notes — appear exactly as they were typed, whatever language you pick.
What else is in User settings?
The same menu also holds:
- Profile — phone number and notification preferences
- Enable release notes / Disable release notes — whether you want to see messages about what's new in Properate
- Help — help for the page you're on
- Log out
Frequently asked questions
Are the help articles in English too?
Yes, the help follows your language choice.
Is Properate available in languages other than Norwegian and English?
No, just the two for now. The menu item toggles between them.
My colleague sees Norwegian while I see English — is something wrong?
No. Language is set per user, so it's perfectly normal for two people looking at the same building to be on different languages.
Tip!
If you're writing a description or note that colleagues on both languages will read, remember the text isn't translated. Choose the language based on who will read it, not on what you've picked in your own menu.
